Alison Cummins is a Business Consultant and Food Entrepreneur with a background in Process Engineering, she also holds BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Tech and an MSc (Hons) in Food Business and Technology. Alison’s specific areas expertise is business development, performance measurement, systems development, process improvement, strategic planning, innovation, gap analysis, sales and export growth.
She successfully
built her own food business, supplying multiples, food service clients and
processing companies, exporting worldwide as a HPSU client of Enterprise
Ireland and a client of Bord Bia. She has equipped
factories to the highest standards and has sourcing connections with equipment,
packaging and logistics manufacturers and their supply chains. She can assist
companies with regulatory compliance to establish criteria and pathway to
accreditation for products entering both home and export markets. She has experience
of Global expansion and understands that innovation is vital for business
growth and success. She has a proven track record of helping her clients access
funding, boost their productivity, grow, scale, profitably export and develop
revenue generating opportunities. Her many clients
include a hospitality and leisure food service/facilities management company
operating in 80 countries and the World’s largest contract foodservice company
employing over 500,000 people.
Alison works with all the major development agencies and is a Programme creator, facilitator and lecturer on the TU Dublin Food Business Masters Level 9 programme lecturing in 21st Century Global Trends and Supply Chain. Alison is passionate about the development of scalable businesses built on strong innovation. She is a self-starter and results-focused leader with an ability to implement significant change and strategic initiatives for her client companies.
