One-to-one equity advice

Our Equity Advisor, venture capitalist and business development advisor, Drew O’Sullivan, offers one-to-one advice for early stage high growth ventures that intend to raise funds in the next 12 months. Drew also acts as a sounding board for your management team before you approach the investment community to seek capital.

Drew is available to meet with individual companies to advise on your fundraising requirements and assess your ‘investor readiness'. He can also present to groups of companies and entrepreneurs on these issues. A series of monthly clinics are held online each month.

We have now announced dates for our 2025 Monthly Equity Advisory Clinics.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for this service you must have a minimum new equity funding requirement of €100,000. We will also ask you to forward one of the following documents to us in advance:

  • Business Plan (preferred submission)
  • Executive summary/Investment Memorandum (we can provide you with a pro forma to complete in advance) or
  • Investment pitch slide deck

In addition, you must demonstrate that you meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • HPSU status or equivalent in Northern Ireland
  • Have been appointed a Development Advisor with Enterprise Ireland or Client Executive with Invest Northern Ireland
  • Sales in excess of €100,000 (or sterling equivalent)
  • Have already raised €50,000 (or sterling equivalent) equity finance
  • Have completed a recognised accelerator/platform programme

In some cases short listing may be applied where there is strong demand for the service.

Register for a clinic

The clinics will be delivered by our venture professional, Drew O’Sullivan. Drew will be available to meet with companies to advise independently on their fund raising activities including business plan review, investment pitch practice and signposting to investors across the island. This service is provided free of charge with pre screening under taken in advance to ensure companies using the service meet the minimum criteria.
